How to Emboss with the Making Memories SLICE

Embossing with the SLICEWould you like to know how to emboss with your Making Memories SLICE? By now, you probably already know that this digital design cutter is perfect for creating die cuts. However, did you know that it can also be used for embossing and debossing materials such foil, vellum and cardstock?

To get started, you will need the SLICE Embossing Tip Kit. This kit comes with a foam mat and three embossing tips.

The first thing you will need to do is change the tip. This is actually pretty easy. First, turn the machine over. Using the hexagon wrench that comes with your machine, unscrew the tip. Take it out and put it in a safe place, until it is ready to be replaced.

Next, place one of the embossing tips in the machine. Using the hexagon wrench, firmly tighten. However, make sure you do not overtighten - you want to be able to remove it when you are ready to get back to making regular die cuts.

Place the machine right side up and insert the design card you want to use. Select the design and size. Place the material to be embossed on the foam mat, press the green start button, and hold the machine in place.

That's all there is to it - once the machine is finished, your embossing is complete!
