Cricut Pocket Card Birthday Invitations

Hey everyone!  I just realized I never shared with you the birthday party invitations I made for my youngest son's party.  This is a pocket card.  Instead of opening up, the plaid paper forms a pocket.  Inside the pocket is a tag with all the party details.

Here's a picture:

I used the Cricut Boys Will Be Boys cartridge for this invitation, cutting the green pup at 2.5".  I also used the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge to cut the tag with all the invitation details at 4.75".

Other items used for this card include the following:

Plaid Paper - DCWV All About Boys stack
Background Paper - DCWV Grade School stack
Card Stock - green, yellow, black, and white
Red Ribbon
Paper Fastener
Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch
Paper Trimmer

I made the card at 4.25" x 5.5", so that it would fit  inside an A2 envelope.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment, or just leave a note letting me know what you think!

  1. Very cute! I love cards that aren’t traditional. The paper pattern and pup are so fun. :)

Thanks so much for joining my Crafty Cutter party. Have fun finding some crafty inspiration, and I hope you’ll visit me at Serenity Now again soon. I have a new Silhouette project up today!
