The Oh-So-Pretty Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge

I am so excited about the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge!  The main images on this full cart will be great for backgrounds on scrapbook layouts and cards.  I have my fair share of border punches and Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punches.  Honestly, with this cartridge in hand, I think they will be gathering a little bit of dust, because I will be able to cut my own with the Cricut - and it will be so much easier, not having to line up holes and all that!

Well, enough talk.  You probably want to see a picture, don't you?  Here it is...

Six creative features are included.  Two of them are dedicated to creating frames - think of all you can do with that.  There is also a border feature (again, my border punches are going to be so lonely!).  I can't wait to use the book feature, which can be used with card stock, or better yet chipboard, to create uniquely shaped mini albums.  A shadow creative is also included, as well as an oblong feature, which stretches out the main images.

I can't wait to start playing with this one!  I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive, but in the meantime, I tracked down a couple of project ideas. Here they are:

Melanie at Everyday Cricut (one of the Hello Thursday girls) made an absolutely adorable layout with this cartridge. It looks like a very simple layout that could be put together quickly.

Robyn from MyPinkStamper (yep, another Hello Thursday girl) used Elegant Edges to make a "super simple" card.  Even though it is simple, it is very pretty.  I also love the Imaginisce Berrylicious paper she used.

Once I get my copy of this cartridge, I will update this post with pictures of my projects.  Until then, make sure you leave a comment, letting me know what you think of the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge.

Why can I not make a 12 x 12 square. 10.5 is as large as the excpressions machine will let me go.
