Available Now – Cricut Create-A-Critter Cartridge

This past Thursday, Provo Craft announced the release of ten new cartridges, including the Cricut Create-A-Critter cartridge.  Of the ten, this has got to be one of my favorites, and I'm counting the days until it will be available for purchase (rumor has it that it will be the end of April)!

UPDATE:  It's available now!  Visit our Create a Critter page to compare prices...

Anyway, it features fifty different animals - and each one is just so doggone cute!  They have adorable smiles, and come with whimsical accessories.  In fact, there are 100 accessories in all!

It would take me forever to list everything that is on this cartridge, so if this is the first you have heard of it, check out the sneak peek of the Cricut Create-A-Critter cartridge on their website.  Here is also a short video clip from Provo Craft introducing it...

Provo Craft also handed out preview copies of this cartridge to a few lucky crafters.  Although it's not available yet, you can start getting ideas by checking out what some of them have made:

Robyn at My Pink Stamper made a scrapbook layout using the pig and the house from the cartridge, as well as the title "Let's Play".  She also posted a couple of really cute cards she made with this cart - make sure you check 'em out too!

Joy at Obsessed with Scrapbooking made a purr-fectly adorable kitty cat card using the Create a Critter cartridge.  She even made a short video tutorial showing how she made the card!

Tammy over at Cricut Critters made an adorable "Nuts About U" card.  When I get the cart, I will definitely be scraplifting her card.  I even have the background paper she used - it's from the Die Cuts With a View Green Stack.  Now I just need to track down some polka dot ribbon!

As you can see, I'm counting down the days, and getting some ideas in the meantime!  Are you anxiously waiting for the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge too?  If so (or if no), let us know - just leave a comment below...

  1. Hi Dawn! This may be a bit late… I just discovered your post!… but thanks for the shout out and link to my Create-a-Critter projects! Very nice of you!

  2. Hi Tammy,

Thanks for stopping by – I’m sure there will be more shout outs coming your way! I love both your Cricut blog and your Imagine blog – your projects are a wonderful source of inspiration! In fact, I was just looking at your Smiley Face Emoticons post last night. I am decorating Hershey candy bars for Christmas for my son’s kindergarten class, and your post was so helpful! I have them designed in my Gypsy right now. I just need to get busy cutting, although I am torn between getting the house ready for Thanksgiving or spending the day crafting. Hmmm, such a hard decision – to clean or to craft!
