Have You Seen the SpongeBob Cricut Cartridge?

Cricut Spongebob CartridgeStock up on the bright yellow paper - you are going to need it with the SpongeBob Cricut cartridge!  I have to admit that I never thought this little sponge from Nickelodeon's cartoon lineup would be around as long as he has been.  My oldest son is now eleven, and I remember watching the first  episodes with him when he was just a toddler.  Now, years later, they are still making new SpongeBob episodes (and my 11 year old is still watching them).  However, for the icing on the cake, there's now even a Cricut cartridge featuring this character and his group of friends - who knew!

Some people like paper piecing.  Some don't.  If you buy this cartridge, you might want to belong to the first group.  There are an awful lot of layering options included as creative features, and you will want to use them all to really bring your characters to life and make them realistic looking.  Paper piecing takes a lot of patience, as well as good lighting, tweezers, and adhesive suited for small pieces, such as the Zig 2 way glue pens.

The primary focus of this cartridge is on the characters.  You can make cutouts of Spongebob and Patrick in a variety of poses, as well as just about any other character you can think of from this cartoon, including Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Krabs and his daughter Pearl, Gary, Mrs. Puff, Mermaid Man,  Barnacle Boy, and more.  You can also make a wide variety of places and icons from the show.

If you children really love this cartoon, the SpongeBob Cricut cartridge would be a good investment, and a fun way to embellish their scrapbook layouts.  It's also great for making handmade cards, birthday decorations, and wall decor.

  1. I just got my last week. I have decorated my daughters school notebooks with the characters Spongebob and Sandy Cheeks. Your right it does take time and patience to do paper piecing but they look incredible when your done. She just loved it. I am thinking of using it for fabric applique, and using the same paper piecing technique. Just waiting for a day i have time to spare.
